Edit a Contact

With project editor-level permissions, you can edit a contact's information to specify a trade, or change the name, organization, or phone number for the contact by going to Projects > Contacts > More > Edit Contact.

The Trade setting is visible on the Contact register page for a project and is specific to that project. This means the same user added as a contact to more than one project may have a different Trade specified in each project.

Changes to the Name, Organization, or Phone fields are not project-specific. This means they apply to that contact's profile throughout the entire enterprise.

Note: Enterprise Admins can edit a contact's email address until the contact has accepted a project invitation. At that point, the email address can only be edited by the individual contact.

  1. From the home page, under Projects, click on the name of the project you want to open.
    Alternatively, click in the upper left-hand corner, click Projects, and then click the name of the project you want to open.
    The Dashboard for the project appears.
  2. Click the Contacts tab.
  3. In the row for the contact you want to edit, click and select Edit Contact.
    The Edit Contact window appears.
  4. Modify the Name, Organization, Trade, or Phone fields as needed.
  5. Click the Save Contact button.
The contact's information is updated.
