Add Additional Approvers to a Submittal

You can add additional approvers to a submittal to route the submittal to them for their review and approval by going to Projects > Submittals > Add Additional Approvers.

Additional approvers can add comments and indicate whether they would approve or reject the submittal. The actual decision to approve or reject the submittal belongs to the main approver. The main approver is notified when an additional approver has approved or rejected a submittal. The main approver can approve or reject the submittal, regardless of what the additional approvers have done, even if the additional approvers have not completed their review and approval.
  1. From the home page, under Projects, click on the name of the project you want to open.
    Alternatively, click in the upper left-hand corner, click Projects, and then click the name of the project you want to open.
    The Dashboard for the project appears.
  2. Click the Submittals tab.
  3. Click on the submittal number for the submittal you want to work with.
    Note: The submittal number appears in blue text and becomes underlined when you mouse over it.
    The Submittal page appears.
  4. Click Add Additional Approvers.
    The Add Additional Approvers window appears.
  5. In the Additional Approvers field, select any additional project contacts who should also approve the submittal.
    Note: To filter the list of contacts:
    • Enter the first few letters of the contact's name to filter the list.
    • Click Team Contacts to filter the list to just contacts in Viewpoint Team.
    • Click PM Firm Contacts to filter the list to just contacts from PM Firms in Vista.

  6. In the Comment field, enter any comments or notes about your approval.
  7. Click Send.
The additional approvers are added to the submittal.
