Customize Labels for Submittals

Administrators can change labels for fields, buttons, and states for submittals to match how people in your business talk about the submittal process by going to Admin Center > Modules > Customize Labels.

Changes to labels are immediately visible for all submittals in Viewpoint Team™.
Tip: We recommend that you match corresponding labels. For example, if you change the Approver field to Architect, then you should also change the button name from Approve to Approve by Architect, and the field name from Due to Approver to Due to Architect.
  1. Click on your name in the upper right corner and select Admin Center.
Note: If you don't see Admin Center, you have not been set up as an administrator. Contact your System Administrator for assistance.

If you have more than one enterprise, select it from the Admin Center list.

    The selected Enterprise tab appears.
  2. Click Modules > Customize Labels.
  3. Under Action Labels, enter a new name (up to 20 characters) for each button you want to change.
Tip: Customized labels should be easily recognizable by your team.
  4. Under State Labels, enter a new name (up to 10 characters) for each submittal state you want to change.
Tip: Customized labels should be easily recognizable by your team.
  5. Under Field Labels, enter a new name (up to 20 characters) for each field name you want to change.
The Due To and Due From Submitter and Approver field labels default based on your changes to the Submitter and Approver field labels. You can override these default labels.

  6. Click Save Changes.
Submittals now display your custom labels.
